Researches that lasted one month and were made to 80 people showed that sweating decreased by 50%. Those people were divided in two teams. At the first team sage tea was given and at the second sage tincture. The sage tincture was more efficient.

Sage came from Greece and in the continuous spread in Europe and North America. Probably, the plant spread to the Alpes and central Europe because of the monks that were planting it at the Monastry's gardens. The ancient Greeks were using sage as a mind and body tonotic.
