The desire for God’s gift, for a share in His pan-cosmic victory, is an indispensable element in preparation for the work of prayer. By His humble love, the Lord has brought eternal victory over death and the powers of darkness. Christ desires to share His victory with each man and sit beside him on the thrones of His Kingdom. He wants to address to each one the words: ‘All that is mine is thine.’ He Himself says: "To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne."

Translated from the original Greek, Ὁ ἄνθρωπος, αὐτουργὸς τῆς ὁμοιώσεώς του μὲ τὸν Χριστό, which is a chapter from the author’s forthcoming book Ἡ προσευχὴ ὡς ἀτελεύτητη δημιουργία.
